1 cup flour
1/2 tspn salt
10 grms yeast
1/2 tspn sugar
1 1/4 tspn vegetable ghee
Mix the yaest with sugar and one fourth cup lukewarm water; stir; cover and set aside for 5-10 min.
Now take the second bowl, mix flour and salt together. Make a well in the centre of the flour. Pour the yeast liquid in the flour and mix. Rub in the softened vegetable ghee and knead lightly about 10 min to form a smooth, but fairly firm dough. Cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise until double in size. Knock back the dough, allow it to rest for another 10 min and then roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a 1/4th inch thick rectangle.
Preheat the oven to 230 degree C/ 450 degree F.
Cut the roll in same sizes and then strech into long sticks. Brush the bread sticks with the egg and sprinkle with onion seeds.
Bake for 15 min; lower temperature to 190 degree C/ 375 degree F and bake for another 10 min.
Store it in the air tight container.
